What Is Scrip?

Scrip is an important and easy way to raise funds for Mary Immaculate School – and the school benefits without any additional funds from you!  The SCRIP program was adopted in an effort to keep tuition rates low and affordable for all our school families. By purchasing Gift Cards thru the SCRIP program, a percentage (or profit) is credited to your family’s SCRIP account. All MIS families are obligated to support the SCRIP program thru generating $150 or more in profit.

How does SCRIP work?

Mary Immaculate School purchases scrip in the form of gift cards to popular retailers and restaurants through our scrip provider, Great Lakes Scrip Center, at a discounted price. You purchase the gift cards at face value and use them just like cash.

How do I profit from the SCRIP?

The percentage (or profit) the school receives is from 1.25% to 18% of the gift card as predetermined by the retailer. The total percentage (or profit) of your SCRIP purchase is credited to your family’s SCRIP account. Once $150 in profit are credited to your family’s SCRIP account, 50% of all additional SCRIP profits will be earned as a tuition credit for the following school year, up to a maximum of ONE tuition. The other 50% is donated to the MIS Scholarship fund.

Anyone can help you meet your SCRIP obligation – grandparents, aunts, cousins, co-workers, friends, neighbors! Just make sure they give us your name when ordering, so that you get the family credit!

How do I order SCRIP?

1. The MIS Spirit Store keeps a number of SCRIP gift cards on-hand for immediate purchase. The MIS Spirit Store is located across from the school office and is open every school day from 7:45 to 8:30 a.m. and from 2:45-3:30 p.m.

2. Order SCRIP online at www.ShopWithScrip.com (code: F7EB249C65L8) and pay for your order at MIS or pay with PrestoPay.

3. Send SCRIP order via email to MIScrip@yahoo.com.

If you ordered via www.ShopWithScrip, requested a special order (click to see a list of ALL available Scrip) or pre-ordered out-of-stock Scrip, you will receive an email when your SCRIP is ready to be picked up.
